Disappointing winter.
December had 3 storms. Officially at DXR it was 7.5" Here in Newtown it was 10"
DXR was -0.7, all of the negative departures came before 12/21. The AO was positive from Dec 15 through the end of the winter. Coldest temp at DXR was 10.
January had one "storm" for 4". Temps were 5.6 above normal and the lowest temp was 6, the highest was 66. Backyard temps were 67 for a high and 7 for a low.
.
February had no snow. Temps were 3.4 above normal and the lowest temp was 6. The highest was 61. Newtown temps were 60 as a high and 7 as a low.
March had 2" in Newtown. Temps were 2.8 above with a low temp of 16 and high of 70 at DXR and 16 and 72 in the backyard.
The odder part was it snowed in April at trace and was 5.7 below normal with a high of 65, never breaking 70.
Then in May it snowed at trace.
So forgive me for not posting much and for having the complete opposite happen than was forecast. I'm 1 for 2.
